Kerry has always been a keen fisherman, starting at the
very early age of 5 under the expert guidance of his father who was a very
good social and competition angler. He joined the Moreton Mixed Fishing Club
at the age of 12 and fished in many competitions. At the age of 14, Kerry
won the South Queensland Amateur Fishing Association C grade championship .
After many years out west, Kerry moved back to
Brisbane to educate his children and to have better access to the sport that
has become a large part of his life.
"My absolute favourite place to fish is the western side
of Cape York and over the last 8 years have made over 10 trips to this
fisherman’s paradise."

"The new SMAK "Pro Select" Spinnerbaits are the best yet! “they
absolutely ROCK”.... their compact design make them a dream to cast, the
blade design means they turn freely with the absolute minimum of winding
speed and the new colour range is the best I have seen."
Kerry
began tournament fishing in 2002 and has not missed an ABT bass comp since;
recently he started fishing bream comps as well. Interspersed with the ABT
circuit, Kerry is a regular entrant in many other competitions where he is
often joined by his two sons.
Over the
past 3 years of competition fishing Kerry has had several top ten finishes
as both a non boater and boater and has fished in all three bass grand
finals and one bream grand final on the ABT circuit. He has also had a few
top ten finishes in the Stessel competitions a session win in the skins
format.
